NCSP Group (LSE: NCSP, MICEX: NMTP) reports that in Novorossiysk within the last two days bimonthly rainfall was recorded - more than 100 millimeters. The town declared the emergency mode.

Today, about midnight, the streams of rain water passing through the town, began to enter the territory of NCSP companies, located in Novorossiysk port. In some places the rain water level rose to 1.5 meters.

Due to the fact that the energy supply facilities were in the flood zone, some port areas were deenergized from 01:00 in order to avoid accidents.

Emergency operations center works in the port in order to eliminate the consequences of the emergency situation. According to the information on 14:30, July 7, 2012: there are no injured NCSP employees, no serious accidents and property damage.

Now we are working on assessing the aftermath, taking all necessary measures to maximize the clearing the territory from the sedimentary waste. The equipment is being tested on safety before future exploitation. The operational services are working in regime of high alert.

Rescue vessels of PJSP “NCSP Fleet” headed by Novorossiysk port administration assist in the elimination of the pollution resulted from transfer of the rain water and oil into the sea. The source of pollution is outside the territory of PJSC “NCSP”. At the moment the operational services are establishing its origin.

Cargo handling in the port was suspended in the period of the emergency situation. According to the operational services of the region, the road Krasnodar-Novorossiysk will be opened in a few hours. All the clients are informed of the situation in the port, now a schedule of accelerated handling is being prepared.
