Port's specialists investigated the issue and offered to traders to consider the possibility of reducing of transportation costs of palm oils to the Russian Federation. As a result, the port mastered a procedure of transshipment of imported liquid palm oil in bulk. Transshipment is carried out at berth No. 23 capable to accept ships of 20-30000 tons deadweight. The procedure includes heating of oil in pipeline and its loading to tanks by the direct method. Unloading of oil at Port Novorossiysk allows to reduce expenses of traders in comparison with those paid for unloading at ports of Saint-Petersburg, Odessa or Iliychevsk.
