PARTICIPATION OF NCSP HOLDING IN THE FIFTH 'KUBAN-2006' INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC FORUM

Kuban-2006 International Economic Forum organized by Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of President of Russia in the Southern Federal District, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia and administration of Krasnodar Region has achieved the principally new level.
Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, Dmitry Kozak, Plenipotentiary Representative of President of Russia in the Southern Federal District, Aleksander Zhukov, Vice-Prime Minister, and German Greff, Minister of Economic Development and Trade, most everybody of all Federal Ministers, 43 governors, leaders of Russian business and representatives of world companies participated in work of the Forum.

Total area of exposition of the exhibition was more than 15 square meters. Two plenary meetings, five conferences, 18 round tables, presentations of four subjects of RF and 48 municipal formations of the Region were held in the course of the Forum, as well as the session of the Investment Committee for selection of projects pretending for support of the Investment Fund of Russian Federation.

During this session decisions of critical importance for economy of Krasnodar Region and the whole South of Russia were taken. The Investment Committee approved financing of design and estimate documentation for construction of «Krasnodar-Abinsk-Kabardinka» highway of 147 km length from the Investment Fund resources. Total cost of highway construction was assessed as 117 bln rubles. The Russian Federation will invest about 60 bln rubles to this project.
At the next stage of the tender, the Region intends to receive financing by the Investment Fund of the Russian Federation for five more projects of infrastructure development.

One of the most active participant of the passed Forum was Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port Holding which presented the largest investment program for development up to 2010 year, which will allow to the port to reach the principally new level.

NCSP Holding intends to invest 700 million USD to reconstruction of its facilities. These assets will be used for construction of the petroleum products transshipment system of 5 million tons capacity per year, construction of the dry mineral fertilizes transshipment complex, terminal for transshipment and simultaneous storage of 100 ths. tons of grains. Designing is carried out for construction of the terminal for alumina transshipment of 2.5 mln tons capacity, fuel and diesel oil transshipment complex, facilities for transshipment of timber cargos up to 3 mln cub.m capacity per year. It is planned to increase the volume of container transshipment up to 350 ths. TEU. Within the bounds of one of the projects a large-scale replacement of process equipment of Oil-Terminal «Sheskharis» will be carried out as well as reconstruction of the area А and total overhaul of the area B of the master deep-water berth No. 1.

All these investments will allow to increase cargo turnover of the port by 1.5 time, from 80 mln tons to 110 mln tons by 2010 year.

Senior managers of NCSP Holding declared at the Forum: next year Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port plans to present the Project of complex development of Novorossiysk transport hub to the RF Investment Fund based on tender financing.
The question is related to construction of the first transport hub in Russia, which will also include the railway and highway units (in all, 12 objects).

The railway unit should provide development of the port rail zone, approaches to port Novorossiysk, construction of the storage depots as well as development of the Novorossiysk railway station that will allow to simplify and to accelerate the railway traffic.

The highway unit should provide construction of a new highway linking the port with the «South» federal highway bypassing the center of the city.

Formation of a logistic center in Novorossiysk is an important part of the project. The center will control the whole cycle of cargo traffic starting from the moment of shipment and will monitor all phases of railway transportation, transshipment to the port storages and to ships.
As a result, clients, personnel of the port and railway will know where is the cargo, when the cargo will arrive, and what will happen with it. 
By autumn next year the Holding plans to receive resources of the Investment Fund, and to start implementation of the project.
