Novoroslesexport Container Terminal Receives ZPMC Hoisting Equipment as part of NCSP's ongoing Investment Program (RTS: NMTP, MICEX: NMTP, LSE: NCSP)

The Container Terminal of Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (“NCSP”)'s subsidiary Novoroslesexport has received new hoisting equipment, which was manufactured by ZPMC, one of the leading manufacturers of specialized container handling machinery. The port signed the supply contract with ZPMC in June 2006. The total cost of machinery, shipment, assistance with installation and commissioning, and crane maintenance training amounted to approximately USD 12 MM.

The delivery of ZPMC cranes is part of the NCSP’s ongoing USD 700 MM investment program aimed at enhancing the port's transhipment capacity with a focus on its most profitable cargos.

The five new cranes will be used in Novoroslesexport’s Container Terminal and will include two STS container loaders, two RTG wheel-mounted gantry cranes and one RMG track-riding double-cantilever gantry crane.

About NCSP

NCSP

NCSP operates primarily at the Port of Novorossiysk (the "Port"), a multi-purpose, year-round, deep-water port located on the Russian shore of the Black Sea which has geographic, topographic and infrastructure advantages in comparison to other existing ports and potential port sites in the Black Sea-Azov Basin. NCSP is Russia's largest sea port in terms of cargo turnover according to the Association of Russian Sea Ports, and Europe's fifth largest commercial sea port by cargo volume, according to Global Insight/ISL.

NCSP is Russia's main southern gateway for import and export of a wide range of cargoes (including oil, oil products, timber, grain, fertilizers, ferrous metals, containers, automobiles and general cargo). NCSP handles approximately 20% of the total volume of cargoes shipped through Russian sea ports, according to the Association of Russian Sea Ports.

During 2006, NCSP consolidated its shareholdings in the majority of other operators and stevedores in the Port. In addition to its stevedore operations at the Port, NCSP operates a fleet for bunkerage and towing services at Novorossiysk and owns a large ship repair yard and operates a stevedoring company in Baltiysk on the Baltic Sea.
