Reconstruction of IPP discharge rack is completed
Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port Group (LSE: NCSP, RTS and MICEX: NMTP) announces completion of the reconstruction of the two-way UAN liquid fertilizer tank car discharge rack at IPP terminal.
The discharge rack reconstruction was done as a part of the Group's complex investment program for equipment upgrade and modernization of capacities. The project’s cost totaled RUB 27.5 million.
In the framework of the project the rack’s foundations and metal structures were reinforced; tank cars discharge technology was improved; lightning protection of the rack was installed together with upgrading of the drainage and air pollution control systems; the railway tracks were elevated and new rails and cross-ties were laid.
The reconstruction has considerably raised the processing efficiency, reducing tank car discharge and handling time, and increasing the tank car turnaround rate, cutting production costs and bringing environmental safety to a higher level.
